The Pack Monadnock 10 mile mountain race
was held yesterday. The race had 185 finishers with an average age of
49.8. There were only 43 runners (23%) under the age of 40. The
biggest age groups were M50 (38), F40 (27), M60 (27), and M40 (17).
Highlights
Gary Reuter (age 80 – aR) became only the
2nd finisher in the 80+, running 2:14:56
Allan Bates (age 70 – GMAA) missed the
70+ AGR by 3 seconds with his 1:32:48
Steven Brightman (age 50 – CMS) ran the 3rd
fastest ever in the 50+ (1:08:54)
Julie Haynes (age 60 – WRT) took an
incredible 6+ minutes off of the 60+ course record with her 1:35:56
Karen Encarnacion (age 53 – WMDP) lowered
the 50+ course record by 13 seconds running 1:26:01
Sara Dunham (age 42 – Plattsburgh, NY)
lowered the 40+ course record by 63 seconds with a 1:16:36
Kasie Enman (age 39 – GMAA) took 1:45 off
of Gina Lucrezi’s (2010) course record with a winning time of 1:11:40
Kassandra Marin (age 29 – WRT) also dipped
under the course record with a 1:12:21
